Horse Grazing Meadows

At our medieval construction site, real horsepower is still in use! Our strong working horses pull heavy stone blocks, transport sand and other materials – all without the aid of engines.

When they’re not on duty, the horses enjoy well-earned breaks on one of the three large meadows surrounding the site. There, they can graze peacefully, relax, and often attract admiring glances from curious visitors – both young and old.

These fenced green spaces offer more than just fresh grass: they are mown once a year, and the hay collected is used to feed the horses during the winter. This is a perfect example of natural, sustainable animal care.
